Roast Ham

Traditionally this recipe is made during Xmas but really it is

A cheap and Easy to do recipe for every occasions; 

 Jambon Nwel (Roast Ham)

Ingredients

1 cooked ham of 3kg (Bone in and with Rind in this recipe)

50g of raw sugar

1 can of sliced Pineapple in Syrup (minimum 5 slices)

100g of Bondamanjak chilli sauce

Instructions

Pre-heat the oven at 200C

Remove the rind of the ham to a thickness of about 0.5 cm. Place the ham in a baking dish.

Make cuts in the ham to insert the Bondamanjak sauce. On the surface, add the sugar and massage the ham (with gloves!) to spread the sauce & sugar mixture over the whole surface of the ham (side included).

Place the 5 slices of pineapple on the ham and pour over the pineapple syrup.

Bake 20min at 200C (rotating heat if possible) and 10min in grill position.

During cooking, baste the ham with the syrup.
